On November 15–16, AM NJ and the New Jersey Church held a blessed Fall Retreat at the AM Headquarters in Trenton. Students and members gathered for two days of worship, Bible study, and fellowship centered on the Parables of Heaven from Matthew 13. The retreat created a space for participants to step away from daily routines and draw near to God with focus and expectation.

Students arrived from various campuses, including a group of four from Vassar College who came the night before. More participants traveled early Saturday morning, filling the HQ with joy and anticipation as the retreat began.

Throughout the weekend, attendees engaged in rich times of Scripture study, reflection, discussion, and prayer. The messages on the parables brought deep insight and encouragement, helping students understand the Kingdom of Heaven more clearly and personally. Moments of fellowship—over meals, conversations, and group activities—created a warm sense of community and support.

On Sunday, November 16, the retreat concluded with the closing service, which also served as Sunday worship. Pastor Michael delivered the final message on the Parable of the Net, wrapping up the retreat theme with a call to live with spiritual readiness and hope. After service, everyone joined for a meal and time of breaking bread together, sharing testimonies of how God had touched them throughout the weekend.

The Fall Retreat was truly a weekend marked by grace. Many testified of renewed faith, deeper understanding, and heartfelt encounters with God. We give thanks for every student and member who joined, and for the Lord’s faithful work in our midst. May the seeds planted during this retreat continue to grow and bear fruit in the weeks ahead.

Even though classes are out for the summer, the campuses of UNC and Duke are still alive with meaningful conversations about faith, hope, and purpose. A group of students and leaders has been spending the summer meeting new friends, listening to their stories, and sharing how a relationship with Jesus has changed their own lives.

Instead of slowing down, the summer months have opened unique opportunities to connect with people in a deeper way. Small group gatherings and Bible discussions have been a safe place for students to ask honest questions, find encouragement, and explore what it really means to follow God.

As the fall semester approaches, excitement is growing. Many believe this is just the beginning of something much bigger that will impact both campuses in a powerful way.

This summer was a season of connection, learning, and life-changing experiences for Apostolos Missions (AM). Across the network, young people gathered for opportunities to deepen their faith, build lasting friendships, and grow in their purpose. Two key highlights were our Bible Camp and Summer Internship Program.

The Bible Camp brought together students from different places for several days of worship, Bible study, and fellowship. Each day was filled with meaningful messages, small group discussions, and times of prayer. Many participants shared that they felt refreshed in their faith and inspired to live more intentionally for God. The camp wasn’t just about learning—it was also about community, with games, meals, and late-night conversations that built bonds lasting well beyond the summer.

The Summer Internship Program gave students the chance to serve hands-on in ministry while developing leadership skills. Interns took part in evangelism, event planning, and creative projects, gaining experience they can carry into their studies, careers, and future service. For many, the internship was a time to see God at work in practical ways and to discover new gifts and passions.

Through both the Bible Camp and the Internship, AM’s mission to help young people find their identity and purpose in Jesus Christ came to life. As we move into the fall semester, we carry forward the momentum of this summer, praying that each person touched by these programs will continue to grow in faith and share the hope they have found with others.

As the fall season arrives, Apostolos Missions USA is preparing for a retreat that seeks to inspire spiritual growth and cultivate a fruitful harvest. With high expectations for what God will do, AM USA is making final preparations for this special time of renewal and fellowship.

AM USA regional leader, Ashley Barnes, has designed a detailed schedule for the retreat, which will span three days, from October 11-13. The retreat will begin on Friday afternoon, followed by a full day of programs on Saturday, and conclude on Sunday with a special service. The theme for the retreat is centered on an in-depth study of Romans chapters 1-4, focusing on the righteousness that comes through faith.

Through ongoing evangelism efforts at the New Jersey headquarters, a number of university students have shown interest in joining the retreat. The hope is that these students will be deeply impacted by the Word of God and the fellowship they experience.

AM is praying that this fall retreat will not only strengthen the faith of the students but also energize the New Jersey chapter and the AM USA region as a whole, bringing about new spiritual growth and a renewed sense of mission.

The AM International social media team launched their next large-group Bible study series. The program is being promoted on Instagram and is a two-day per week study for 7 weeks until Pentecost. The theme of the series is called “You Will Be My Witness” and will go through the Book of Acts.

“You Will Be My Witness” began last week and begins every Tuesday and Thursday at 6:30PM EST. The goal is to gather an average of 24 students per day. AM wishes to breakthrough 70 students participating on average each day.

The Book of Acts will emphasize the importance of prayer, receiving the Holy Spirit, mission expansion, and the identity of the Apostles, as those who are sent. The theme of the series — “You will be my Witness,” comes from Acts chapter 1. The AM HQ believes that this will be an exciting book to inspire students to follow God’s call and to be used powerfully by the Holy Spirit.

Please pray that this gathering will be successful for mass evangelism, and membership increase.

AM New Jersey staff began onsite evangelism at Princeton University this month. Vanessa and Ashley evangelized for two hours on this first day and expressed great hope for the potential of mission on this campus.

Princeton University is a very historic campus in New Jersey and worldwide. The students are very focused on their studies but are noticeably tense, anxious, and unhappy. AM staff testified that those who recognize the invitation to Bible study will consider it as an opportunity to breathe and be free from that world of stress and spiritual oppression. AM staff pray to bring freedom through the Word of God and rescue many suffering souls.

AM staff will continue daily evangelism with the goal of on-the-spot Bible study, filling surveys, and connecting students to online programs as well.

Ashley evangelized for the first time and shared her reflection:

There was a lot of anticipation in me as I wasn’t sure what to expect as the days were leading up to us to finally being able to do in person evangelism. Upon arriving, I was a little hesitant and nervous as it is my first time. However, after speaking with a couple of students, I came to realize the importance of evangelizing as many students as we can. I sensed a lot of anxiety and unrest in the students heart and it made me feel all the more for them. Although many declined the offer, they were still very responsive. That gives me hope to keep pushing forward even when it seems like no one wants to accept. I am thankful for the opportunity and I believe that God can and will work through AM to reach many on the campus of Princeton. There is a lot of talent there, a lot of young and lively college students who would be a great fit for Gods kingdom. It has only been one day of evangelism, but my heart is already beginning to open up to have love and compassion for my brothers and sisters. I want them to come to see that they don’t have to stress and worry about being the top student but that they can find peace in using their talents and gifts for God. I am ready to be used greatly and I will continue on the work of an evangelist with much joy!

Vanessa shared her reflection below:

It was nice to finally get out and evangelize people in person once again. I am grateful that the weather was kind to allow us to be outside for a couple of hours to tour the campus of Princeton and talk with some students. I remember my first time evangelizing to be a lot of fun. It always tests me to go out there and approach people and it was a little difficult starting out as students seemed on edge when approached, but I believe the more we pray on campus, the warmer our encounters will become. There is already three other Christian fellowships on Princeton’s Campus, but I hope AM can be the fourth and the most impactful. I hope we can continue evangelizing on other campuses as well and nearby grocery stores. Ashley even approached some college-aged brothers and sisters at the store who seem responsive. I am just really glad we can rekindle our relationship with other humans and pray that things can go back to normal.

Please continue to pray for the development of AM Princeton mission.

The Apostolos Missions International HQ will begin its “Teacher Training” seminars next week with the first lectures called “Introduction to Evangelism” and “Introduction to Bible Study.” Since AM is preparing to launch on-site mission, the seminars will offer basic training for campus evangelism.

The seminars are most appropriate for committed members who have a desire to lead AM Bible studies and programs on campus. The students will have a general outlook on the principles of the Word and its importance as a listener and also as a teacher.

One of most important points of the seminar will be regarding the teaching of salvation through Romans. The reason we teach is to save. This is the ultimate goal. And the best way to teach about salvation is to study Romans because it talks about this in the most vivid and clear way. The seminar will discuss that the best way to discuss salvation is to talk about sin. We need to know about the disease in order to receive the cure. All the truth of God has been revealed, but there is a deep spiritual ignorance. Teaching about sin and salvation opens our eyes to the truth of God’s love.

Students who teach about salvation should have a clear understanding about this subject. The seminar attendees will be challenged with a question- how are we saved? The answer is very simple, we are saved by grace as it says in Ephesians 2:8-9. It is not the work of meditation or self-discipline, but we are saved by the grace of God. And we receive this grace through the truth. The Word of God fills us up and awakes our spirit. Finally, the day comes when our spirit responds. God has been loving and serving us for all this time and our spirit finally awakens to respond to God’s love and we confess with our mouths. This is the point that every student should reach. It is the point where we completely change and recognize that our spirit has received this grace and is transformed.

Evangelism and teaching is the greatest way to show love to our peers. We should change their spiritual ignorance and fill them with the truth. A life following the Word is a life that is blessed.

Please pray for the AM students to grow as great mission leaders and proclaimers of the Word.
