5 Amazing Promises of God

In this devotional, we try to present a list of God’s great promises. But it’s a hard thing to do since there are so many! Honestly, to present a comprehensive list here is a tall task, so we tried to narrow it down a bit. They’re all so amazing! To the heart of the believer there is bright great hope, great light. Here are 5 of the promises of God.

In no specific order:

Hebrews 13:5

Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

Times will always get tough financially for believers because we empty out for the greater gain of God’s kingdom. God has promised that even when the monetary gain is no more, he will always be there. God is greater!

Matthew 19:19

29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life.

Proverbs 9:10

10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

The world will judge us by so many different standards( and they never seem to stay the same) but, true wisdom comes from a right relationship with God. Without this reverence set up on our part, we will always come up fools.

Matthew 8:18-19

18 Then Jesus came to them and said, \”All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,

Ah, the great promise of the ultimate bearing of fruit- disciples! In the end, this one may hit closer to home depending on if you’re a pastor or someone who evangelizes, but this verse is true even of the smallest of saints who witnesses to others in hope that they would also know the love of the Lord.

BONUS!

Matthew 8:20

20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

And as you do it, he for sure is right alongside you, helping you, guiding you, providing for you as you give all that he gave you.

There you have it. May this list and all of the other amazing promises of God bring you great grace and empower you to live victoriously in Christ!
